Update - 3 July 2014—U.S. Airports New Alerts. Remember the fact that 99% of the attacks by this enemy involve methods of mass transportation. As of yesterday, U.S. airports are on a newly heightened alert status because of credible intelligence about improved shoe & underwear bombing methods. These guys never rest, and neither can we. As former SecHoSec Tom Ridge recently reminded: "They have time, and we have watches."

The message here is that the enemies of civilization are fanatics who have no purpose in life except to die for their insane ideas, while taking as many innocent, decent victims with them as possible by their criminal actions. We have seen shoe bombers, underwear bombers, toner cartridge bombers, and more—most of whom have failed thus far, but the effort ramps up and hopefully the next try will also end in failure. This determination informs our hypothesis about the MH370 question. In this thought experiment, is it really unthinkable that we may be hit with a weaponized 777? We'd be fools to shine this on due to our own lack of vision or imagination, in the face of the enemy's psychotic focus and inventiveness.
